If you've driven past HomeCo Marsden Park to get to Costco or IKEA lately, you've probably already driven past us without knowing it. Quality Rugs & Furniture now has a full showroom inside that precinct — our second Sydney location alongside Lidcombe — and this post is the proper introduction: where we are, what's on the floor, and why we picked Marsden Park in the first place.

Where to find us

Our Marsden Park showroom is at Unit 13/9 Hollinsworth Rd, Marsden Park NSW 2765, open seven days a week from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. You can reach the team directly on (02) 7209 7284. The showroom sits inside the HomeCo Marsden Park precinct, part of the wider Marsden Park commercial area that's grown up alongside Costco and IKEA off the Westlink M7 — so if you're already making a big-box run out that way, it's a genuinely easy add-on rather than a special trip.

We chose the location deliberately. Marsden Park is one of the fastest-growing pockets of Sydney's north-west, roughly 49 kilometres from the CBD in the Blacktown local government area, and it's been building new housing at a rapid clip since around 2013. New builds mean new households furnishing an entire home at once — living room, dining room and bedrooms — often with rooms and hallway dimensions that differ from the older housing stock closer to the city. Having a showroom on the ground here means we can talk through those actual room sizes with buyers face to face, not just over a product listing.

What's on the showroom floor

The Marsden Park range covers the same categories as our Lidcombe store, stocked to suit the newer, larger floor plans common in this part of Sydney:

• Rugs — Persian and modern designs across a full size run, from hallway runners up to large 300cm x 400cm statement pieces for open-plan living areas.
• Sofas — fabric, velvet and leather lounge suites, including recliner, corner and modular configurations for bigger living rooms.
• Dining furniture — dining tables and chairs in modern and luxury finishes, sized for both everyday family dining and larger entertaining tables.
• Bedroom furniture — bedroom suites, bed frames and mattresses across queen, king and double sizing.
• Coffee, console and TV unit tables — including the sintered stone and tempered glass ranges we've recently brought into the New Arrivals collection.

Because the store is physically stocked rather than a display-only showroom, most of what you see on the floor is available to take home or arrange fast delivery on, rather than a long custom-order wait. On the rug side specifically, we carry both wool-blend and synthetic (polypropylene or viscose) constructions side by side, which is one of the first questions worth asking in-store: wool holds its pile and resists soiling better under heavy foot traffic, while synthetic blends are lighter on the budget and often better suited to a rug that will see a lot of pet hair or spills. That's a genuinely easier comparison to make with a swatch in your hand than from two product photos.

Why see it in person before you buy

Rugs and sofas are two of the hardest things to buy from a photo alone, and Marsden Park exists largely to solve that. A rug's actual colour and pile depth can look completely different under your own living room light compared with a product photo, and pile height matters for anyone with underfloor heating or a robot vacuum in the mix. Sofas have the same problem in reverse — seat depth and cushion firmness are easy to misjudge on screen and obvious the moment you sit down. If you're the sort of buyer who wants to check how a piece actually feels before it's delivered, that's exactly what the showroom is for.

It's also useful simply for scale. A dining table that looks proportionate in a wide-angle product shot can be a very different size once it's measured against your own dining room, and our team can walk you through footprint and clearance in person rather than you working it out from a spec sheet at home.

Serving the growth corridor around us

Marsden Park sits at the centre of a cluster of newer Sydney suburbs — Schofields, The Ponds, Riverstone and Box Hill are all a short drive away — and a large share of our Marsden Park customers are furnishing a first home or a new build in one of these areas. Longer term, the area is also set to get better connected — there are plans to extend Sydney's Metro network through Marsden Park toward the new Western Sydney Airport, on top of the existing bus link from Schofields station. For now, driving remains the easiest way in, with plenty of free parking in the HomeCo precinct itself.

Marsden Park also gives us better coverage of Sydney overall. Our original Lidcombe showroom sits closer to the inner west and south-west, so having a second location out here means customers from Riverstone through to Rouse Hill aren't driving the best part of an hour each way just to see a sofa in person.
